Aerotek is hiring a Warehouse Saw Operator in Ashland, VA!

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Operator with experience in saw operation to join our team. The role involves cutting down materials for customer orders using band saws, handling inventory, and will be trained to operate forklifts and overhead cranes in a steel distribution warehouse.

ResponsibilitiesCut down materials such as square tubing, 8\" hot roll round, and aluminum for customer orders using HYDMECH and COSEN saws.Set Up and Operation: Set up the saw machine, making necessary adjustments for each job. Operate the saw machine to cut metal materials according to specifications.Measurement and Accuracy: Use measurement tools such as tape measures and calipers to ensure accuracy. Set stops or guides to specified lengths.Quality Control: Monitor the cutting process for any defects or issues. Inspect finished pieces to ensure they meet quality standards.Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on saw machines to ensure they are in good working condition.Safety: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.Documentation: Accurately complete paperwork related to job orders and production.Why Work Here?

Pay: $18-22/hr.

Shift: 5a-2:30p (flexible)
