Job Title: Saw Operator
Job Description

Will read mechanical blueprints to determine appropriate saw settings, and operate saw to cut metal parts to correct length.

ResponsibilitiesInterpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine the precise cut.Adjust machine settings, including speed, angle, and pressure, to achieve accurate cuts.Load materials into the machine and align them properly to ensure precise cuts.Monitor the production process, making necessary adjustments to maintain quality and accuracy.Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.Perform routine maintenance on machine.Collaborate with the production team to prioritize and schedule work orders.Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures and regulations.Troubleshoot and resolve minor machine malfunctions and production issues.Adhere to quality control standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.Essential SkillsBasic shop math for measurements and calculations.Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch.Experience operating a saw or similar machine.Experience operating different hand and power tools.Experience working in fast-paced environments.Team player.Additional Skills & QualificationsBlueprint reading experience is a plus.Experience/knowledge of angles (protractor type skills/knowledge).Experience operating overhead crane is a plus.Why Work Here?

Shop Environment. Climate controlled but can get hot/cold when bay doors are open. Fast paced.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fenton, Missouri.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
