SC QC Assistant Scientist
Overview Detail oriented individual required for conducting the testing of Raw Materials and Finished Product for US Based Concentrate Manufacturing Plant managing the microbiological testing program Responsibilities Delivers accurate and timely results of all raw materials and semi-finished components so that dispositions can be made ensuring no down time to the Operations Team Conduct analytical and micro testing on raw materials and finished products Oversee site micro testing program, including retrieving samples, plating, water testing, CIP validations and interpreting results Ability to analyze and interpret data, reporting results orally and in written documentation Ability to monitor and analyze results trending to drive Maintains all records in accordance with PepsiCo protocol Maintains stock of all micro lab consumables Leading by example with a clear commitment to personal safety, process safety and food safety Compliance with all GMP, FSMA, FSSC22000, OSHA and Plant Safety Policies Responsible for maintaining and complying with all applicable PepsiCo, Federal, State and local regulations and standards Authority to immediately address safety risks Ability to cross train and assist as back up for other analyses when needed Participate in monthly micro meetings Participate in projects which relate to micro to drive plant and companywide initiatives Maintain orderly lab and partake in continuous improvement of micro lab processes Participate in quarterly and yearly water sampling and send samples to a third-party lab Environmental monitoring of lab and production areas for air Quality and swab testing of surfaces for sanitization efficacy of production areas Participate in quarterly micro proficiency testing and reporting of results.
