SC Quality Control Associate Analyst
Overview This position exists to support the manufacturing operation of PGCS Arlington by testing and approving raw and bulk materials prior to use in production and supporting Quality initiatives to achieve plant/sector objectives. Responsibilities Retrieve raw material samples and log in of samples in LIM’s. Raw material testing and disposition prior to use in production adhering to established turnaround times. Testing and approvals of batches. Daily and weekly equipment calibration/validation per Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) standards. Logging of new reagents and solutions and record and disposal of expired reagents. Creating & maintaining fresh solutions and reagents (titrants, HPLC mobile phase(s), buffers) per GLP standards. Overseeing tracking/receipt of control samples for innovation projects and caramel monitoring testing. Disposal of sample retains and housekeeping of the lab. Oversee inventory of needed consumables to avoid shortage. Participate in proficiency testing maintaining proficient status in raw material testing. Leading by example with a clear commitment to personal safety, process safety and food safety. Compliance with all GMP, FSMA, FSSC22000, OSHA and Plant Safety Policies. Responsible for maintaining and complying with all applicable PepsiCo, Federal, State and local regulations and standards. Authority to immediately address safety risks. Ability to cross train and assist as back up for other analyses when needed. Participate in Quality lab and department meetings. Participate in corrective actions and root causes regarding nonconformances related to raw material/vendor issues in QMS portal. Compensation and Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $55,800 - $87,000. Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement. Qualifications 1-3 years of analytical testing experience in a manufacturing environment. BS in Microbiology, Chemistry or related field. Analytical testing experience is required. Experience with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) required. Experience using SAP preferred Experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) preferred Competencies Required: Self-Motivated individual with strong QA/QC experience. Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively Strong Communicator across various channels Works effectively independently as well as part of a team. This is a mid -day shift that will need to be flexible to cover day and night shift when analysts are out.
