**Description** SAIC is looking an **SCA Engineering Tech IV** to support the US Navy in **Bedford, IN** . **JOB DESCRIPTION:** SAIC is seeking a highly organized and motivated leader with a diverse set of engineering technician skills to serve as the subject matter on a fleet of trailers used to transport explosive assets and related equipment. **JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Candidate will work effectively in a fast-paced environment and will report technical and programmatic information to project stakeholders. + Candidate will be responsible to work in a team environment with Government and SAIC engineers to design, development, test and implement modern systems for the U.S. Navy. + Candidate will monitor inspection intervals and coordinate with SAIC, Government, and local vendors to ensure inspection cycles are met without impacting mission needs. + The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in facilitating the transfer of technology and technical information between SAIC and the U.S. Navy. + Serving as our technical expert and on-site representative, you will drive collaboration and ensure the seamless integration of new technologies and processes to ensure mission requirements are met. **Qualifications** **REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND CLEARANCE:** + Associate's Degree in related discipline and at least 6 years of related experience; OR High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years of related experience. + Must be able to work from schematics and engineering drawings. + Must have the ability to investigate and troubleshoot problems on operational hardware and software. + Must have ability to effectively communicate issues to technical team through verbal communication and technical reports. + Interim secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a secret clearance.
