Class Summary
Job Description:
The OT System Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the hardware, software, programs and networks that support industrial control systems (ICS) and critical infrastructure within the organization. Also, coordinate SCADA projects, provide daily support to Plant operations, PLC & SCADA programming and performs complex daily Operational Technology tasks with DWR SCADA Division.
Other essential Duties:
+ System Management: Administer and maintain OT systems including SCADA, DCS, PLCs, HMI, and other industrial control systems.
+ Network Management: Configure and maintain OT network architecture, Firewalls and Switches ensuring reliable communication between devices.
+ Security: Implement cybersecurity policies and procedures, conduct vulnerability assessments, and ensure systems are protected from cyber threats.
+ Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues in OT systems, hardware, and software.
+ Integration: Manage the integration of OT systems ensuring smooth data flow and operational continuity.
+ Compliance: Ensure OT systems meet regulatory standards (NIST, IEC 62443).
+ Documentation: Maintain system documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, PLC & Application programming and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
+ Monitoring: Continuously monitor system performance, ensuring uptime, availability, and efficiency.
+ Collaboration: Work with engineering, IT, and operations teams to optimize OT system performance.
+ System wide EOL management for SCADA Assets.
+ This is a 24/7/365 position required to be available in case of emergency.
The Grade for this position is C44(1).
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
+ Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field
+ Three years of progressively responsible, professional level analyst and systems experience in a large scale Information Technology environment;
+ or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
+ Valid Driver's License in State of residency
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
+ 3 years of hands-on experience managing IT/OT systems, such as SCADA, DCS, PLCs, Servers etc. Experience in both IT and OT environments is a significant plus.
+ Prior experience in industrial cybersecurity is highly valuable.
+ Experience as a system admin managing and maintaining IT /OT Hardware and Software in a large system.?
+ Proficient with MS office and PDF editor
+ Elevated Federal Security Clearance required at the time of hiring
+ Certification such as: CompTIA Security+ Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) for networking proficiency, Windows Server Administrator
