We are seeking a Scaffold Builder for a position in Plaquemine, LA. This position assembles, positions, modifies, and dismantles scaffolding to job specifications. Non-exempt role; Reports to a Frontline Supervisor (Leadman or foreman); Assigned duties according to specific procedures \/ work is checked frequently.\n
\n

Essential Qualifications:\n\nHigh school or equivalent\nOne to four years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level)\nAbility to read engineered drawings preferred\nAbility to operate different types of Forklift \nNational Certification preferred (may be required by client)\nWritten pre-employment qualification test\nPost-offer drug\/alcohol screen and physical evaluation\nJob site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)\nSafety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)\nApplicant\/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace\nEmployee may be required to provide the following: toolbox, tool belt, adjustable wrench, ratchet wrench with socket, claw hammer, cutting pliers, torpedo level, tape, and rain suit\n\n

Functional Requirements:\n

Inspects surface for holes, objects, and levelness, Assembles scaffold consisting of guardrails, mid-rails, braces, planks, toe boards, screens and\/or wheels, Positions scaffold by rolling it into place or erecting in place, Secures scaffold to permanent structure if required, Some other assembly types may include hard barricades, strong backs, engineered scaffold, stairways, etc., Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.\n

Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.\n

Physical Involvement:\n

Employee may be required to do the following: climbing ladders, scaffolds, structures, etc. above and below ground level; maintaining balance on ladders, scaffolds structures, etc.; reaching in all directions, handling and manipulating objects and materials; coordinating the movements of eyes, hands and fingers to operate tools and equipment; lifting 30 to 50 pounds from ground level, waist level, and\/or overhead; carrying objects, tools, equipment, etc.; standing; sitting; walking; pushing; pulling; bending; kneeling; crouching\/squatting; crawling; seeing with or without correction; hearing with or without correction.\n
