We are currently looking for a Scale Attendant for our Elk Point Landfill. The Elk Point Landfill is approximately 23.5km away from Elk Point. The successful candidate for this role will work a shift of 7 days on, 7 days off consisting of 12 hour shifts each day on shift. This role does not provide accommodations or transportation so the successful candidate must live in the area.
The Scale Attendant provides administrative support to the operations staff, site administrator and site manager. The successful candidate will quickly develop a working knowledge of the day to day operations and company activities while providing excellence in customer service. As a Scale Attendant with us the minimum responsibilities are:
Demonstrating ownership of group vision and cultureProviding knowledgeable and courteous customer service to all clients and co-workersMaintaining professional office appearance and ensuring adequate inventory suppliesAssisting with any template/document generation that may be required from OperationsAssisting the marketers, as requiredResponsible for daily ticket entry and troubleshooting problem ticketsAssisting the Lead Administrator with the administration and maintenance of Accounts Payable, Accounts ReceivableConducting general office administrationFiling, scanning, handling incoming/outgoing mail, updating phone and contact listsAssisting the Lead Administrator with meeting all facility month end timelines and facility sign offAssisting the Lead Administrator with safety trackingFulfilling any other administrative functions, as requiredLandfill approvalsWorking knowledge of weigh scaleDaily landfill trackingDaily Volume balanceWhat We Need From You:Grade 12/GEDAdministration or Accounting Certificate/Diploma would be considered an assetMinimum 2 years administrative/accounting experience is preferredGood time management and organization skills and ability to work effectively under pressure, meet demanding deadlines, & multi-taskAbility to handle multiple changing prioritiesSolid ability and experience working in a team-based environmentReliable with strong work ethicExcellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skillsMust be able to pass all pre-employment requirementsWhat You’ll Get From Us:Competitive WagesRetirement Plan with company match; let us help you save for your futureBenefits; Medical, Dental, VisionPerks, perks, perks!
