Position Summary:
Consists of, but not limited to, loading and weighing trucks according to CDOT rules and Martin Marietta policies and procedures.  Accurately enter information into ticketing system and build rapport with customers.  Communicate with dispatchers, customers, owner operators, supervisors and all levels of personnel.  Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Flexibility to work overtime, nights and weekends as neededWilling to travel to all three Southern Asphalt Plants.  Must be able to travel to other plants as neededBilingual (Spanish) preferredGood understanding of simple math such as addition, subtraction and division. Friendly, courteous, and professional with internal and external customersCustomer service focusDemonstrates attention to detail & organizational skillsSelf-starter, takes initiative in problem solving while excelling under pressureDisplays a team attitudeStrong communication skillsDependable, self-motivated and positive attitude when working with others in a teamAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentHigh ethical standardsProactive in SAFETY and works well in a team environmentAble to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checkMinimum Education and Experience Experience in the construction industry with preferred aggregates or asphalt emphasis.Previous scale operator experience preferredProven customer service skills and attention to detailMust be at least 18 years old

Salary Posting:

We are excited to share the base range for this position is $24-27, exclusive of benefits or bonuses (discretionary and non-discretionary). The offered base hourly compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Martin Marietta we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the compensation for those in similarly situated roles and direct team members. The posted range for this role represents the total reasonable pay range and does not solely represent a hiring range. Therefore, hiring at the top or maximum of the range should not be expected as it would not allow for salary growth opportunities in the role, would diminish promotion value, and may not align with internal equity. In addition to our base compensation, we also offer a competitive benefits package for full time employees (more information on benefits listed below).
