What makes our company culture unique is we have mastered the ability to balance the standards of a large corporate company while maintaining our small business family style culture. **Responsibilities** **Day Shift** **6am until 2pm** **Job Highlights: Scale Operator** The Scale Operator will bemainly responsiblefor weighing in and weight out solid waste vehicles from both company drivers andthird partyvendors/haulers. They willbe in charge ofreceiving payments, checking loads, andensuring the safety of the landfill and scale at all times. **Additional Responsibilities: Scale Operator** + Serve as first point of contact for any drivers, customers, or other traffic at the scale house + Accurately calculate and process payments,weightsand other measurements + Verify incoming loads do notcontainany unnecessary or inappropriate material + Various administrative tasks including regular filing, data entry and reporting + Providegeneral upkeep of the scale house + Additionalduties as assigned. **Work Environment: Scale Operator** + This Scale Operator will be based out of Newark, NJ. + This shift will be an overnight position with 3 days on 4 days off, 4 days on 3 days off schedule. + Required to use motor coordination such as typing, machineoperating, etc. throughout the greater part of thework day + Daily exposure to physical environment including odors, loud noises, weather elements, etc.Performs other duties as assigned **Qualifications** · **Requirements: Scale Operator** Scale Master Certification + Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States. + High school/GED educationcompleted,higher education is a plus. + Minimum 2 years of warehouse environment experience. + Experience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred. + Experience working with scales is strongly preferred. + Working knowledge of general computer skills. + Knowledgeable in the safe operation of all garage tools, diagnostic equipment, lifts, hoists, and jacking equipment + Consistently capable of working independently to safely analyze and resolve problems. + Fluency in Englishrequired, Spanish bilingual is a plus. **Additional Information** We believe in providing the training and development you need to grow your career with IWS.
