Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Scale trucks in and out, receiving and shipping, control truck trafficMonitor appointment times for inbound and outbound docksAnswer phone calls and emails from internal and external customersPrint off and file pick-lists from printer and generate bill of ladingsMaintain various tracking documents and shipment logsPrepare customs documents for Canada and over seasKeep the shipping office neat and tidyCommunicate with order center on problems surrounding outbound pick-listsShip packages via UPSOther duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must be able to multi task and have excellent organizational skillsProven computer/tech skills with Outlook, Word, Excel, Copier, Scan, etc.Ability to communicate effectively and diplomatically both verbally and in writingMust be self-motivated, versatile and able to make good use of time in slower periods by supporting other departments as requestedMust be Customer focused (both internal and external) and have a good attitudeKnowledge of Canadian Customs documents and processes a plus

Schedule: 

Hours are from 5:30 AM to 1:30 PM Monday-Friday. Overtime will be required occasionally. Week-end work required (typically one weekend quarterly for inventory).

Physical Requirements:

Requires sitting at a computer approximately 70% of shift and standing 30% of shift.Starting wage depending on experience.
