The Role

 

The System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) administrator manages the deployment, maintenance, and updates of software, applications, and machine images across FFEM's networks. The SCCM Admin utilizes Microsoft software program SCCM to monitor, update, and secure large groups of computers across multiple domains.

Job Description

Key responsibilities for this role include:

Configuring: Setting up SCCM settings, operating system deployment strategies, and Active Directory Group PoliciesCreating: Deployment packages and in-house documentationMaintaining: Configuration baselines, corporate standard images, and patching standardsDeploying: Images, Driver and BIOS updates, and software to usersMonitoring: Applications and systems for managed usersTroubleshooting: Deployment issues and complex incidents, works with Security team to patch vulnerabilities.Ensuring system compliance and adherence to technical standards and security policiesCollaborate with other IT teams and business teams to achieve goals.

 

REQUIREMENTS

BS degree in Computer Science and 2+ years of experience utilizing SCCM concepts. We will also consider someone with an AS degree and 4+ years of experience or a high school diploma and 6+ years of experience with extensive technical expertise utilizing SCCM concepts.Expert knowledge of the Microsoft operating system. A MCSE certification is preferredExperience with desktop management platforms, imaging, and software deploymentExperience developing and executing IT project plans, and evaluating project information to forecast work effortExperience troubleshooting complex production problems and issues that arise during deploymentExperience tracking hardware and software assets to ensure compliance and proper licensingThe ability to work well with others, including colleagues, students, and administrators
