Job Summary The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance to Administration in all functions as directed/instructed by the Director of Nursing in accordance with established administrative policies and procedures. The Staff Scheduling coordinator plans and coordinates day to day staffing schedules for nursing department. Responsibilities Administrative Duties and Daily Functions: Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as with other departments within Mountainside, to assure that clerical services are performed in a professional manner. Staff scheduling/re-scheduling as necessary. Does staffing for "out of facility" trips. Attends and participates in continuing educational programs. Maintains confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information. Enter information into Kronos Timekeeper System. Oversees and prepares time and attendance. Communicates with medical staff, nursing staff and other department supervisors. Completes work timely. Is subject o frequent interruptions Follows all policies and procedures applicable to MRCC. Cooperates with inter-departmental personnel. Keeps working areas clean and clutter-free. Assists in orienting new staff. Provides secretarial functions for administration in absence of Administrative Assistant. Uses the union contracts in daily practices. Assists DON in maintaining/updating Position Manager/position control. Assists in completing PDF's for employee status changes. Develops report (i.e. worked hours vs sick hours, OT and benefit time) Conducts reference checks on potential employees as requested Acts as backup for Hospital Nursing Dept for timekeeper system as requested; provides training as needed. Communication: Ensures appropriate and ongoing communication to staff. Uses communication to enhance quality of working environment. Personnel/Staff Development Attends mandatory inservices. Promotes a positive, friendly work environment. Quality Assurance: Constantly strives to enhance the resident and staff experience. Follows MRCC policies and procedures, including HIPAA. Immediately reports unusual problem/accident/incident regarding resident care to RN/House Supervisor. Safety/Infection Control: Is compliant with standards and regulations. Reports potential outbreaks and takes appropriate measures to control/ eliminate infection control exposures. Other specific requirements: Must have patience, tact, a cheerful disposition, and be enthusiastic. Must work harmoniously with others. Seeks out new methods and principles to incorporate into daily practices. Creates and maintains an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest, positive emphasis, as well as a calm environment. Promotes teamwork and collaboration among Mountainside staff members. Is self-motivated. Other job duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements EXPERIENCE On the job training provided. EDUCATION Must possess, as a minimum, a twelfth (12th) grade education. LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS N/A OTHER Excellent computer and communication skills
