OverviewThe Nursing Coordinator is responsible for the coordination and scheduling of Amerita and Subcontracted Agency (SUB) nursing visits, approving submitted nursing documents, creating nursing delivery tickets, tracking Plans of Treatments, and managing SUB authorizations and invoices.
Responsibilities Schedules initial Amerita nursing visits for new patientsSchedules initial and ongoing SUB nursing visitsProvides requested patient information to SUB to assure appropriate patient care.Approves submitted nursing visit records within the electronic documentation platform.Provides feedback to Amerita and SUB nurses if additional information is required on the nursing visit record, or if there is missing or inaccurate information on the submitted records.Submits Plans of Treatment (POT) to the prescriber to obtain prescriber signatures. Tracks these signed POTs and communicates with RN manager when there is difficulty with getting prescriber signatures within 30 days. Contacts SUB for outstanding nursing notes and invoices as needed.
