Scheduler - Rebuilds
Job Overview

 

We currently have a contract full-time position available in our Project Management team for a Project Scheduler. This role will be responsible for generating, monitoring and maintaining project schedules and programmes.

 

You will be working with stakeholders from all business departments gathering inputs to develop integrated project schedules allowing us to successfully deliver new and rebuilt mining machinery projects to the contract requirements.

 

Key Job Responsibilities

 

Create, monitor, and analyse project schedules in accordance with Komatsu procedures and project requirements, perform version control Assist the Operational Planners to translate schedules into an executable plan in SAP, as well as evaluate resource capacity Implement all project variations into the project schedule to assist the project manager with effective change management Co-ordinate project schedules, tasks, meeting updates, and efficient distribution of reports Generate project reports and task lists to provide the Project Team with information and tools to support project execution Monitor projects’ progress and update the schedule accordingly. Updates include identifying critical path activities, reviewing forecasts and progress against the project baseline achieved to date and making the required adjustments to scope and task management. Maintain project risk register to ensure that risks are effectively managed to minimize their impact on schedule, scope, and budget of projects Track baselines, perform what-if analysis, and develop contingency plans Organise implement and maintain a scheduling  management system supporting identified projects and their plans Analyse critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule recommended work-arounds Conduct analysis to determine courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules

 

Qualifications/Requirements

 

Minimum of five years related-work experience as a scheduler for heavy equipment manufacture or overhaul, or construction, mining or similar complex projects Proficiency in the use of MS project scheduling software or other such as Primavera Strong communication skills – written and verbal Good analytical and planning skills. Ability to learn quickly and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in word processing and spreadsheet applications Must have good attention to detail and excellent organizational and time management skills Good working ethics and ability to treat documents with confidentiality Ability to work effectively within a team setting and individually
