Scheduler Specialty Access Center - 1.0 FTE

Why M Physicians?

Regardless of the role, we recognize that every member of our team is vital! As a Scheduler Specialty Access Center, you are often first point of contact for many of our patients. You'll apply your customer service and critical thinking skills schedule appointments in a Call Center for over 30 specialty clinics. To ensure our patients receive the care they need, the Scheduler Specialty Access Center will work with patients to acquire complete and accurate patient health information. Additionally, you will work closely with staff at our numerous clinics to connect patients with the information they need about their care or escalate issues to the clinic leadership. Listening to the patient's needs and finding a solution for them is essential. Our Scheduler Specialty Access Center provides excellent customer experience to a diverse population by demonstrating efficient communication and decision-making.

Scheduler Specialty Access Center Overview

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Uses technology proficiently to identify and satisfy patient appointment scheduling needsCoordinates all aspects of patient scheduling needs according to protocolsNotifies caller of change in appointment schedulingAcquires patient demographic and insurance information for new patients and verifies for returning patientsCan optimally determine when a conversation needs to be escalated to triage or managerProvides pre-appointment instructions to patients at the time of the callResponds to, answers and/or advises questions or concerns

Minimum Qualifications:

2 years of post-secondary education and/or related experience in office management/healthcare specialty2+ years customer service experience in health care or a professional service industryProven ability to listen effectively, maintain HIPAA-compliant confidentiality, and resolve patient complaints while demonstrating patience and professionalismAn audible, friendly, and professional speaking voiceAbility to type and use various computer screens while conversing with patient/customerAbility to learn new computer systems and workflow processesStrong telephone management, organization, and prioritization skillsAbility to direct requests and unresolved concerns to the designated resource

Location: At this time, this position will be remote. (MN Residents only)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm

*This position requires a full month of training*
