As a Scheduling and Pre-Registration Representative, you will provide a comprehensive set of business, financial and appointment-related services during the pre-access process or before patients present for services. In this position, you will be cross trained to staff all areas of the department and potentially rotate to different locations/hospitals based on needs. **A caregiver in this position works from 9:30AM - 6:00PM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform preregistration for diagnostic testing and surgeries by contacting the patient via phone and completing an accurate interview to obtain demographic, insurance, medical and financial information. + Cross train to staff all areas of the department. + Utilize estimator tool to provide patient with estimate of out of pocket expenses for services prior to date of service. + Provide patient contact via out bound and inbound calls. + Function as a Super User. + Act as a resource for training of new team members and during the implementation of new processes. + Provide scheduling, registration and cash collection access in Epic. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + High School Diploma or equivalent + Two years of experience in a customer-facing role with in-person or phone contact OR Associate's Degree and one year of experience OR Bachelor's Degree + Basic PC software application knowledge and ability to use multiple data systems + Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology sufficient to understand physician orders or completion of course within one year of hire Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Associate's or Bachelor's Degree Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities.
