Scheduling Coordinator experienced in Long Term Care
Our skilled nursing home in West Springfield MA is searching for a creative and motivated Scheduler. The Scheduler responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating and planning employee schedules; meeting staffing ratios/requirements; Following protocols for dealing with call outs; assisting with recruiting new employees and assisting the HR and Nursing department as required. Other duties may include: · Prepares staffing schedule and updates same as necessary + Determine a two-week rotation an employee will be working within the master schedules · Prepare and distributes and updates daily breakdown of staffing by units + Print daily staffing sheets from ADP + Update as needed for PTO, switches and call –outs + Distributes to units · Receives, maintains and processes PTO requests + Check accrued vacation hours to ensure that staff have adequate time to cover request off + Verify how many employees are currently schedule for PTO + Have DNS approve or deny + Enter PTO in schedule planner + Return copy to employee, maintain original for payroll · Maintains and updates PPD and PBJ reporting + How many licensed staff times the numbers of hours they work (8 hours) + How many unlicensed staff times the numbers of hours they work ( 7.5 hours) + Previous days censu + Responsible for identifying variances within budgeted PPD + Responsible for updating schedule for PBJ nursing hours and reconciles with outside agency and per diem staff + Attends new hire orientation training for scheduling component Benefits: + Medical/Dental/Vision + 401(k) Retirement Plan + Life Insurance, Short Term & Long Term Disability + Paid Sick/Vacation/PTO/Holidays + Ongoing education and training programs + EAP (Employee Assistance Program) + Employee Recognition Events + Employee Discount program with LifeMart Requirements: + High School Degree + 1 year of experience in a similar position with payroll experience is preferred. + Medical knowledge and/or clinical experience is preferred. + Proficient in Microsoft applications. + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Excellent written and oral communication skills.
