Scheduling Manager Transdev in Phoenix, AZ, is hiring a Scheduling Manager. The Scheduling Manager reports to Operations Manager to ensure scheduling needs are met. Key Responsibilities: + Supervises the production of schedules, blocks, run cuts and the associated internal reports and documents + Reviews and analyzes data to ensure that information necessary to develop effective and efficient transit schedules is available. + Maintains a thorough knowledge of most advanced automation and upgraded technology available for scheduling and run cutting activities. + Responsible for assisting in the development and control of the departmental budgeted labor costs. + Reports to Operations Managers to ensure scheduling needs are met and efficiencies are achieved. + Ensures scheduling data remains transferrable between Company dispatch and scheduling software while meeting client requirements in Hastus. + Organizes and oversees the operator bidding process, ensuring schedules are prepared, bid sheets are accurate, and assignments comply with Labor agreements and company policies. + Communicate bid results to operators, dispatch, and management while addressing any conflicts or adjustments needed to maintain service efficiency. + Other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: + Prefer Bachelor’s degree in Transportation Planning, Management or related field plus minimum 5 years transportation scheduling experience which includes supervisory experience in planning/scheduling environment. An acceptable combination of education and experience maybe substituted. + Proficient knowledge and skill required with Windows operating system and office programs. + Must have working knowledge of Hastus or scheduling, planning and dispatching. + Excellent communication, analytical and interpersonal skills are required. + Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed. Physical Requirements: The essential functions of this position require the ability to: + Ability to work well under pressure managing simultaneous tasks and deadlines. + Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces + Push and pull objects up to 25 lbs., occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 25 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level + Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
