Scheduling Specialist Hospice

This is an hourly position. Overview This job is located in Peoria, IL Monday-Friday 8am-430pm, rotating weekends and holidays. POSITION SUMMARY: The Scheduling Specialist provides non-clinical support in their delivery of care to patients, across all Care Services. The Scheduling Specialist is responsible for managing agency referrals and helping to ensure all necessary information is available prior to the patient visit, manages work queues and performs other non-clinical activities. Updates the EMR and coordinates access to care (i.e. initial visits, ongoing visits and others, as directed). The Specialist is also responsible for monitoring reports and providing timely communication to patients, families, referral sources, leadership and interdisciplinary team. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma/ GED Experience: 1 year of experience in an office clerical setting or customer service environment. Licensure/ Certification: N/A Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including working knowledge of standard Microsoft Office applications and website navigation. Problem solving, conflict management, time management, good oral and written communication skills. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: N/A Experience: 3 years in an office clerical setting or customer service environment. Direct experience in medical setting with patient facing responsibilities.
