School Age Before and After Teacher

Bright Horizons at Suffield is now hiring a School Age Teacher to support our Before and After School and School's Out Camp program for children age 6 to 12 years old. Allow your creativity and imagination to guide the school age children in fun projects, homework assistance and outdoor activities.

Part-time positions now available with School Age Children in our Before and After School program as well as full time during school holidays and summer camps, which runs from mid June to Late August.

Hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 8:30 am and 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm

Compensation: $19.00 to $23.20 per hour (determined by education and experience)

As a Child Care Teacher, you will:

Create and lead activities based on your observations of the children’s interests and needs.

Communicate daily with parents. Document and share the important milestones in their child’s day.

Keep the classroom safe and clean by following important procedures and guidelines.

Requirements:

Candidates must pass required state and company background checks, and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:

At least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED required

Early childhood coursework, CDA, or degree preferred

At least six months of experience working in child care, daycare, or preschool preferred

Compensation Range: $19.00 - $23.20 / hour
