JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
As a School Aide, you will take direction from your Lead Teacher on a wide range of responsibilities:
Taking attendance. Supervising students when the Lead Teacher is otherwise occupied. Working with small groups on specialized skill sets or projects. Providing extra assistance for those struggling with material, such as reading questions or demonstrating with examples. Assisting students with physical disabilities that might impair educational progress. Providing advanced learning options for students who want to challenge themselves. Protecting against outbursts or behavioral issues that may arise if a student is over stimulated, frustrated, or otherwise needs a break from the classroom. Supervising workstations or activity centers. Assisting in preparing homework assignments and tests. Grading materials and entering them into online grade books. Walking young students to different specialty classes and supervising bus duty or parent drop-off and pick-up. Printing materials, preparing teaching materials and classroom supplies. Helping with organization and classroom management. Functioning as an ambassador for The Fedcap Group. Contributing to organization success by accepting new assignments, helping team members, learning new skills, and striving to improve team results.QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education and Job Experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and other related software. Build strong interpersonal relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Work cooperatively with others on a team. Excellent verbal/written communication and presentation skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, integrity, and ethical practice. Analyze, make decisions, and resolve situations/problems effectively within the scope of responsibilities. Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies. Be patient and sensitive to individuals with disabilities.
