Support and provide direct one-on-one behavioral interventions to teach communication, social, and daily living skills and reduce problematic behaviors in center-based and school settings. **Job Responsibilities and Requirements:** PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES + Creates opportunities for enhancing client skills. Plans and implements activities that are consistent with client abilities, interests and treatment plans in classroom setting. + Develops therapeutic relationships with families and clients. + Ensures accurate and timely documentation consistent with all contracts, regulatory requirements, and ethical standards. + Ensures all paperwork and procedures are in compliance with policies, procedures, and operating practices. + Meets the emotional, social, physical, and cognitive needs of each client. + Supports and assists in training treatment team members. + Occasionally provides direct therapeutic services for autistic individuals. + Leads classroom activities as directed by the clinical leadership. + Works collaboratively with families and team members to ensure a team-focused approach and response to the needs of the individuals being served. + Displays enthusiasm and appropriate energy level to maintain client motivation, cooperation, and participation. + Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner. + Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION + High School diploma/GED or 10 years of work experience EXPERIENCE + Six months experience as a Behavior Treatment Technician PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + Frequent reaching, sitting, standing and walking. + Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more). + Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc. + Frequent keyboard use/data entry. + Occasional bending, stooping, climbing, twisting and gripping. + Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs. + Occasional use of vision to identify and distinguish colors. + Occasional driving. + Rare repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements and squatting.
