The School Counselor/School Mental Health Worker provides counseling to students in need of counseling and/or support with their mental health needs. Minimum Requirements: Licensing/Certification according to state/facility/contract requirement The Counselor may be required to have an Associate’s Degree, Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Psychology, Addictions, Sociology, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, or some other Human Development major per state, contract and/or facility guidelines. Current CPR if applicable TB Questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation) Must meet all federal, state and local requirements Must be at least 18 years of age Must be experienced in special education IEP's, evaluations, eligibility meetings, play based assessments. The assignment covers junior high and preschool which are located in the same building. Must have PEL with proper endorsements to qualify. If good fit, high chance contract will be renewed. Very collaborative district with long-term potential. Hours are estimated to be 8am to 4pm.
