School Counselor

Position Overview:

We have a full-time School Counselor opening in a growing and highly supportive school in South Holland, Illinois! At this school, you will find that the teaching staff, administration, and families work collaboratively to achieve student success.

Start Date: ASAP-June 16th, 2024 pending emergency days/snow days
Compensation: $40.58 - $47.21 per hour, or 50,000-58,162 per year
School Counselor Responsibilities:

Ability to work full-time, Monday, Tues. Thurs., and Friday 8:00am-3:15pm, and Wednesdays until 4:15pm.Work alongside a School Social Worker (she is amazing, formerly an AnthroMed employee who is now working directly at this school!)Meet with students for counseling sessions.Provide SEL push-in lessons into groups.Support a caseload of 9 or less students.School Counselor will be expected to be able to take on recess duty with students when needed and they can also hold 1:1 sessions for students during their lunch.This school team utilizes second step, so the School Counselor will help the school with the various topics of the month. Other duties as assigned.School Counselor Job Requirements:Master’s Degree is required.Professional Educator License (PEL) with School Counselor endorsement is required.
