School LPN/LVN for 2024-2025 School Year in Pasadena AmergisHealthcare Staffing is seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses(LPN) for one-on-one school nursing positions. We are looking for passionateLPNs who are committed to making a significant positive impact on a child’slife. Responsibilities: + Develop policies, procedures, and work standards for the school health program. + Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and policies. + Initiate program changes as needed. + Efficiently manage program allotment. + Prepare health reports for supervisors, the board of education, and the health department. + Collaborate with other child-support agencies to design and provide a school health program. + Negotiate professional and medical services essential to the school health program. + Provide first aid care and medically prescribed services. + Maintain security of school health supplies. + Instruct students in health education according to the state curriculum (K-12). + Serve as a resource person on health issues. + Provide staff development on health-related topics for school staff and volunteers. + Screen and conduct health appraisals for students and staff. + Provide follow-up evaluations on students as required. + Recommend corrective actions where problems are identified. + Conduct home visits when appropriate. + Correspond with parents regarding the health needs of children. + Record immunizations, health findings, and other relevant health data. Qualifications: + Current LPN license for the state of practice. + Proficiency in verbal and written English. + Current Health Certificate (if applicable). + Current PPD or Chest X-Ray. + One year of prior LPN experience preferred. + Current BLS card. + Successful completion of screening tests for the clinical specialty area(s) in which the nurse practices.
