The School Nurse Manager is responsible for providing leadership to ensure that Devereux School health programs are conducted and maintained as required by the Pennsylvania School Code and the PA Department of Health - Division of School Health Regulations. Provides direct supervision to all school nurses and develops/maintains staffing plans which meets the needs of all programs. Ensures that all school nurses are trained and competent to provide services and establishes/maintains systematic practice standards which are consistent between school. Delegates school nurse duties to RNS, LPNs and agency nurses within their scope of practice. Communicates effectively with multi-disciplinary treatment team and ensures a safe and therapeutic environment which meets the physical and emotional needs of students. Arranges and monitors nursing coverage at DPACS schools. Serves as a school nurse as needed.

Ensure the safety and well being of the students in our schools.Act as a liaison and communicate with the parents, medical, and school teams.Provide supervison to School Nurses at our schools located in West Chester, Downingtown, Malvern, Audubon, and Landenberg, PA. Manage the Education department nursing activities to assure the highest quality of school nursing services. Serves as a resource to the school nursing personnel and the education staff to ensure comprehensive service provision and accurate documentation of care.You will be offered:

Located in West Chester and Malvern Pennsylvania, services provided include psychiatric residential treatment (PRTF), acute inpatient psychiatric hospital (AIP), assessment services, community-based mental health services, community-based employment training and social skills training, and approved private school educational services to male and female children and adolescents (6-21 years of age) with diagnoses of intellectual disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, concomitant psychiatric and behavioral challenges often associated with experiencing some level of trauma in their lives.

QualificationsEducation Required: Graduate of an approved School of Nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing required. Licensed as a Certified School Nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
Experience Required: Three years (3) of nursing experience in a health care facility, preferably working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities and/or psychiatric illnesses. One year (1) of supervisory experience required. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office applications and data collecting/analyzing platforms. Outstanding organizational skills and ability to prioritize and multi-task, to maximize efficiency. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Valid driver's license must be maintained.
