School Social Worker

AnthroMed Education is expanding our team of Social Workers and Mental Health providers who support our students throughout the state of Michigan, and we want you to be a part of our team! The Roles:

We are currently seeking three School Social Workers who will support students at our partner schools near Garden City. 

Role One: Alternative High School Social Worker

Full-time position, unique schedule Students are there for half days and complete the rest of their classes onlineThe school operates on a 4 day weekProviding special education social work support to students with IEPs, primarily learning disabilities and some emotional impairments 

Role Two: ASD Transition Social Worker

Providing special education social work to students 18-26 years oldProviding special education social work to students with higher needs, requiring more intense supportsRole Three: ASD programs in-district building Social WorkerProviding special education social work in multiple builidingsSupporting Kindergarten through High School studentsProviding special education social work to students with moderate to higher needs

Responsibilities:

Provide effective social work services to support students. Support and service in classroom groups.Help with screening students.Provide strong and effective social work services and support.Deliver emotional support strategies to students.Establish strong and healthy relationships with both students and parents/guardians.Educate parents/guardians on intervention strategies.Connect students and families with community mental health organizations if necessary.

Requirements:

Master's Degree in Social WorkMust possess S310 form- Approval to work in MI schoolsPrevious school social work experience is preferred.
