Seneca is looking for a School-Based Therapist to support a caseload of students and families with therapy, case management, and consultation services. This role supports many schools across the city of San Francisco. As a School-Based Therapist, you’ll provide outstanding therapeutic and case-management services, including conducting mental health assessments and implementing individual behavioral plans. You’ll also have the opportunity to collaborate with teachers, counselors, and school leadership to ensure the success of youth and families in a district school setting.

Seneca’s Unconditional Education West Bay program is looking for School Therapists to support a caseload of students and families with therapy, case management, and consultation services in San Francisco, CA. Responsibilities Work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team with teachers, counselors, other specialists/educational staff, and program leadershipProvide interventions including therapy (individual, group, family) and case management for identified students based on school-based referrals, individualized clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planningEngage caregivers in the treatment process, providing frequent opportunities to discuss student growth and needsProvide crisis intervention, including risk screening, assessment, triage, and service linkageUtilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques as per Seneca's crisis response trainingThis may include intervening with the clients' behavioral program through physical management of the clients, if applicable. Training in additional crisis intervention modalities may be requiredProvide consultation to other school staff on safety assessments, mental health crises, accessing social service, and in utilizing healing centered techniques to experience success with all studentsContribute to a strong school culture by participating in or leading small group, classroom or school-wide activities for students that celebrate success and promote joyComplete required data collection and service documentation for plan development and to measure the effectiveness of services, inform team decision making, and/or engage in service billing Qualifications Master's degree in social work, marriage and family therapy, professional clinical counseling, or psychologyEligible to register with the California BBSOwn vehicle required, Valid California driver's license and insurability with Seneca's automobile policyThis role serves several neighborhoods in San Francisco including but not limited to Noe Valley, Mission, Fillmore, Balboa Park, Portola, and Outer SunsetExperience working with youth in a mental health or education setting is strongly preferredTB test clearance, fingerprints, and COVID-19 vaccination Bilingual Spanish-English proficiency a plus Schedule School based schedule:Monday to Friday: 8 AM- 4:30 PM5 weeks of paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and 14 paid school break days Benefits Starting at $74,150-  $88,150 per year, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the role$2000 sign-on bonus (for new Seneca employees in this position)Salary increases each year $4000 salary increase upon licensureOpportunity for a salary increase upon passing a bilingual language proficiency examMileage reimbursement for on job travelComprehensive employee benefits package: Medical, dental, vision, chiropractic, acupuncture, and fertility coverageLong-term disability, family leave, and life insurancePartially paid premiums for dependants 403b retirement planEmployer-Paid Assistance Plan5 weeks of flexible paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and 14 paid school break daysSeneca supports clinicians toward licensure and beyond:Individual and group supervision, regular clinical case conferences, and licensure and renewal courses led by field expertsClinical training stipend to mitigate expenses for outside training or licensure fees Apply for this job onlineApplyShareEmail this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
