School Van Driver Job Details Job Location Exeter - Exeter, RI Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Salary Range $17.70 - $17.70 Hourly Job Category Education Description The Student Transport Specialist is responsible for providing safe, efficient and effective transportation for students. This individual will also assist with the preventative maintenance and repair of the facility grounds. The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, 7am-4pm. EMPLOYMENT AT EXETER JOB CORPSEmployment at Exeter Job Corps is contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check, employment verification, education verification, professional reference check and motor vehicle record check. Job Responsibilities: + Performs maintenance and inspections of Center’s facilities and systems to ensure functionality and prevent disruption of student and staff services + Provides students with timely and efficient student transportation services as required + Schedules and delivers vehicles for preventive maintenance and repairs as necessary + Conducts vehicle inspections and reports safety issues and concerns to supervisor + Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent required + Previous experience working with youth preferred + A valid active RI, MA, or CT driver's license required + Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
