Science Integration Responsible Engineer

The Durability Science Integration Responsible Engineer will be responsible to plan and coordinate all durability development activities for the vehicle program(s) to which they are assigned.  The Engineer will also lead cross-functional durability teams and represent durability in vehicle integration meetings, architecture meetings and Advanced Concepts Engineering meetings.  The selected candidate will also manage durability issue resolution and work with Design, systems and components, CAE, Loads Analysis, Road Test Simulator, and Data Acquisition labs, and test engineers.  The Durability SIR will also present durability status in program reviews.

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering.  Minimum of 5 years of auto industry durability related experience.  Good knowledge of fundaments physics.  Experience in root cause analysis and issue resolution.

Preferred qualifications are MSE degree, 3 years or more of full vehicle durability or vehicle integration.  Familiar with CAE and durability loads analysis.  Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills.  Strong English presentation, organization, and communication skills.
