Scientific Data Analyst with Long Term Care
**Summary** Come join a company that strives for _Extraordinary People and Exceptional Performance_ ! **Chenega Enterprise Systems & Solutions, LLC,** a **Chenega Professional Services** ’ company, is looking for a **Public Health Analyst III** to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Division of Healthcare Quality Promotion (DHQP), the Surveillance Branch with the Long Term Care Team (LTC). The **Public Health Analyst III** will support LTC programmatic activities. We actively strive to channel our highly engaged employee’s knowledge, critical thinking, innovative solutions for our clients. **Responsibilities** + Provide subject matter knowledge in support of the Long-Term Care Team. This includes arranging meetings or partner calls, responding to public inquiries, sending CDC recommendations to partners, and providing technical drafts or recommendations to CDC regarding Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) activities. + Develop technical knowledge and expertise with the function and use of the NHSN LTC Component for tracking and reporting infection events from nursing homes. + Participate in and provide resources to facilitate nursing home participation in infection prevention collaboratives and related activities. + Review/develop website materials and other communications related to Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) prevention in nursing homes and other long-term care or similar facilities, ensuring consistency of the documents/messages with other CDC tools. + Identify existing and develop new educational materials including FAQ sheets, assessment tools, training slides, etc. for implementing infections surveillance including HAI prevention activities in nursing homes. + Develop and prepare data summaries, feedback reports, and presentations for partners. + Review, analyze, and evaluate written material, statistical data, and a variety of other information as a means of developing recommendations for the development and determination of program needs. + Use qualitative and quantitative methods to assess progress toward program goals and objectives. + Disseminate scientific information related to healthcare associated infections and other NHSN data in the form of presentations, reports, slides, and other materials (e.g., webinars, newsletters, federal documents). + Schedule and plan agenda for appointments and meetings, and/or schedules conferences. Attends meetings and appointments prepares meeting/appointment minutes and follows up on action items with appropriate staff members. + Serve as a Health Educator, presenting lectures, webinars, and workshops. + Revise and develop curricula and written and audiovisual teaching materials, including information provided using latest technology (e.g., web based, CD-ROM), for national dissemination. + Prepare and track data collection requests submitted to the Office of Management and Budget for approval to collect data through NHSN. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience to substitute. + Four (4) to Six (6) or more years of relevant, direct comparable or similar work experience _Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:_ + Professional working knowledge within SharePoint + Professional interpersonal and computer skills, to include but not limited to, skills in operating Microsoft Office software, with emphasis on Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook as well as SharePoint. + Skills in managing and prioritizing multiple assignments with strict deadlines and ability to coordinate efforts among many offices. + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written). + Expertise to prepare and present information/data via oral briefing(s) and/or by written reports **Estimated Salary/Wage** USD $80,000.00/Yr.
