The successful candidate will have experience in human genetics, statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, or a related discipline, and will be excited to apply their expertise to the development of new medicines. The Investigator will be responsible for evaluating genetic evidence in support of therapeutic target hypotheses and effectively communicating their results and interpretation to peers and leaders. They will have experience working in multi-disciplinary teams to answer complex scientific questions. Evaluate genetic evidence to support therapeutic target hypotheses and provide clear and concise communication of results and interpretation to peers and leaders. Collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams to answer complex scientific questions. Demonstrate initiative in identifying and implementing creative solutions to address challenging scientific questions. Work with agility to adapt to changing priorities and timelines. Participating in project teams with GSK scientists and external collaborators. Be responsible for effective communication of genetic findings, with expert interpretation, to relevant stakeholders and project teams. Contribute to the developing science of drug target identification and validation, providing scientific expertise to advance science at GSK. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Ph.D. in human genetics, statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, or related science/math discipline. Experience in large-scale population based genetic studies, (e.g., GWAS and WES/WGS approaches.) Experience evaluating and integrating genetic and genomic data to evaluate strength of causal genetic evidence Experience with programming/scripting in R or Python Experience with key genetics databases and resources Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams to answer scientific questions. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities and timelines. Passion for advancing the science of drug target identification and validation.
