Job Description:

Parsons Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scientific Lead with successful experience in directed energy systems, including laser and radiofrequency systems. The successful candidate will provide expertise in the design, safety analysis, and deployment of these systems in military settings. 


***Must be on-site at Fort Sam Houston U.S. Army post in San Antonio, Texas***

What You'll Be Doing:

Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary team of scientists, engineers, and technicians in the planning, conducting, and promoting of basic and applied research.Manage research data and oversee contract personnel associated with research projects. Ensure the timely completion of all project deliverables.Provide expertise in the development and conduct of protocol-driven scientific research, including animal use protocols, human use protocols, technical reports, final reports, and peer-reviewed manuscripts.Analyze research data using scientific and statistical techniques. Prepare and present status reports on research activities.Set up, operate, modify, and calibrate laboratory equipment and apparatus. Maintain research files and ensure compliance with internal and external audits.Collaborate with the Government to provide recommendations for yearly budgets related to research under contract. Assist with the gathering and completion of Government-prepared documentation for contract actions and proposals.Mentor junior scientists and provide guidance during the preparation of experimental subjects. Aid in the training and development of experimental subjects for experimental procedures in accordance with approved protocols.Ensure all research activities comply with sponsor guidelines and templates. Maintain traffic patterns, sterile equipment, pest control, and record-keeping in the laboratory.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

Relevant advanced degree in a scientific or engineering discipline.Significant experience in directed energy systems and related research.Proven expertise in laser and radiofrequency systems.Experience in conducting safety analysis for high-energy systems.Strong background in designing and conducting experiments related to electromagnetic radiation.Experience in the oversight and management of 6.1, 6.2, and 6.3 federal research programs.Demonstrated ability to prepare all aspects of professionally accepted scientific reports, including methods, data interpretation, presentation, and significance of findings.Effective oral communication skills for presenting research findings.Current Top-Secret w/ SCI eligible Security ClearanceSecurity Clearance Requirements: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements. U.S. Citizenship is required.Ability to manage and oversee multiple research projects simultaneously.
