What You Will Do:
 

We are currently searching for a Scientific Program Analyst to provide support services for a large-scale strategic planning effort to map the next 10 years of the NIH BRAIN initiative. We seek an individual with strong project coordination and operational skills to assist in this developing planning effort.

This is a full-time, remote opportunity in Rockville, MD.  

Responsibilities Include:

Organize and coordinate program activities; manage agendas, meetings, background materials and minutes.

Organize and maintain project documentation and communications; track project progress using project management tools.

Track action items and tasks, provide deadline reminders to Program staff; maintain spreadsheets of relevant information.

Work with staff on existing projects and/or the development, initiation, and execution of new project initiatives.

Conduct literature searches in PubMed, Web of Science, and other information sources; manage references using bibliographic software.

Prepare scientific and programmatic presentation materials such as tables, graphs, slides, abstracts, posters, and overheads by assimilating and mastering the scientific data and programmatic context for use at presentations and meetings.

Perform logistical planning for various scientific meetings, conference calls, symposia, lectures, workshops, and special projects.

Work with staff to coordinate and plan scientific meetings, including communications with distinguished lecturers, invited guests and participants, registration, and meeting logistics.


What You Will Need:

Bachelor’s Degree

At least TWO (2) years of program analysis or coordination experience.

Experience conducting scientific research.


What Would Be Nice To Have:

MS Office

Adobe Acrobat and WebEx knowledge

Knowledge of NIH grants and funding mechanisms

Coding and classification of grants

Workshop and conference planning

Survey design and analysis.

The annual salary range for this position is $74,000.00-$124,000.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
