If you're looking to stand out in your field and lead the way to innovative therapies, this position is for you! location: North Chicago, Illinois job type: Contract salary: $50.00 - 59.05 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Masters responsibilities: + The scientific project manager will be responsible for management of research projects in a high throughput lab setting as well as implementing tools and processes to ensure stakeholders have transparent access to project status. + The project manager will be responsible for coordinating project activities, including communication, organization, and timelines to ensure goals are met, while fostering collaboration and working closely with laboratory and cross-functional team members. + The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management and scientific research with experience managing complex projects and coordinating with multiple stakeholders. + They should also have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as a foundational scientific or technical domain expertise in biology, genetics, or a related field with a background in laboratory research. + Experience in identifying and implementing methods and tools to enhance operational efficiency and facilitate knowledge transfer is a plus. + Certifications in project management and a deeper understanding of research and next generation sequencing through a Master's or Ph.D. would be advantageous. qualifications: + Certifications: Professional certifications in project management such as PMP (Project Management Professional) could demonstrate a strong foundation in project management principles. + Strong scientific or technical domain expertise: NGS lab experience.
