Job Description Summary:

The Scientist II, Analytical Chemistry will be working in Analytical Laboratory of the Company’s Global R&D Juice Center based in Apopka, Florida, with the responsibilities for hands-on wet chemistry testing; special testing for safety data on beverage bases; sample preparations and operations of GC and GC/MS for volatiles and LC and LC/MS in juices by the established procedures. In addition, the scientist II will be responsible for maintaining and calibrating the wet chemistry devices for the product development teams. 

What You’ll Do for Us:

Lead SDS analysis of finished products

Lead wet chemistry analyses for Apopka R&D

Develop new tools to manage laboratory data via: PowerApps, PowerAutomate, Excel VBA Macros, and PowerBI

Maintain laboratory results database

Assist in method development for GC-FID, GC-MS, HPLC-RI, HPLC-UV, and LC-MS

Prepare, Integrate, and report data generated via GC-FID, GC-MS, HPLC-RI, HPLC-UV, and
LC-MS

Operate Agilent GC-MS and GC-FID through ChemStation and MassHunter for liquid-liquid and
SPME analysis

General laboratory upkeep and inventory management

What You’ll Need:

Candidates (US citizen or permanent resident/green card) of interest will have BS/MS degree in Chemistry or related with 1-3 years of industry experience

Hands-on experiences in wet chemistry, SDS testing, sample preparations and operations of GC and GC/MS as well as LC and LC/MS are preferred.

Good skills in communication (verbal and written), instrument maintenance, data correlation and interpretation are essential. 

Experiences in sample cleanup and sample preparation techniques from various matrices for routine and non-routine qualitative and quantitative analyses are needed. 

The ability in fast acquiring analytical chemistry knowledge and instrument operation skills as well as building network and collaborations with peers and clients are strong preferred.

Pay Range:

$89,800 - $107,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on geography, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position, is offered.

Annual Incentive Reference Value Percentage:

7.5
