The Scientist, Biopharma Characterization is responsible for developing and promoting innovative biopharma characterization methods to drive the commercial success of SCIEX’s CE-MS and LC-MS portfolio. In this role, you will have opportunities to use your technical expertise by working on cutting-edge technologies for biotherapeutic characterization. This position is part of the Strategic Technical Marketing team at SCIEX and will be located in Redwood City, California. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: + Develop cutting-edge biopharma characterization methods using SCIEX’s icIEF-UV/MS and LC-MS systems + Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality technical content as well as industrial leading scientists on collaborative projects + Present scientific data at internal meetings, roadshows, webinars and conferences + Provide technical support to commercial teams as a subject matter expert + Maintain top performances of the lab equipment and instruments The essential requirements of the job include: + PhD degree in chemistry or life sciences + 3+ years of experience in biopharmaceutical industry + 3+ years of experience with biotherapeutic characterization using mass spectrometry-based assays + Strong track record of scientific publications or presentations + Experience with high-resolution mass spectrometers Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: + Ability to travel for 20% of the time It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: + Charge heterogeneity analysis + Alternative fragmentation techniques + Advanced protein characterization SCIEX, a Danaher company, offers a broad array of comprehensive, competitive benefit programs that add value to our lives. The salary range for this role is $135,000-155,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future. This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay. We offer comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance and 401(k) to eligible employees.
