What You'll Do:
As a Scientist, you will be accountable for invention, design, synthesis and evaluation of new, high performance specialty polymers and technical support of Lubrizol’s current Liquid Formulations Polymer product portfolio.
What We're Looking For:
Invent, design, characterize and develop new polymeric ingredients to be used across various Lubrizol end markets (ex. personal care, automotive lubricants, paints & coatings, etc.) Develop structure-performance relationships Perform independent research in a multidisciplinary environment Utilize technical knowledge, data, statistical tools, etc. to solve technical challenges Interpret and communicate results to colleagues, sponsors, and customers Document experimental results and prepare technical reports Ensure compliance to safety procedures and good housekeeping practicesSkills That Make a Difference:
PhD in chemistry or polymer science from an accredited college/university Experience in laboratory synthesis of organic and polymeric compounds Experience in green chemistry and/or with design of biodegradable/sustainable materials Track record of innovative thinking and technical accomplishments Ability to work independently and cooperatively as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent organizational and communication (written and verbal) skills Graduate, Post-Doctoral or Industrial experience in polymer synthesis considered a plusPerks and Rewards That Inspire:
