Full compensation range for this role is $81,900.00 - $152,100.00 plus annual bonus program and full benefits package. **Position Summary:** We seek an In Vitro Diagnostics (IVD) Development Scientist who integrates rigorous scientific principles, actionable innovative ideas and a passion to drive advancement of clinical diagnostics to join our development team. You will work within a highly dynamic group in collaboration with multiple disciplines to develop novel products including calibrators, controls, and immunoassay's. This candidate will lead development projects, including the optimization of components, develop manufacturing procedures, and perform necessary troubleshooting. This position will work on problems of advanced to complex scope from new development to supporting existing products. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. **Essential Functions:** • Develop, execute and analyze investigational experiments and product development studies for both new and existing products. • Strong ability to conjugate antibodies, proteins or haptens with various tags. • Strong understanding in coating microparticles to both antibodies and small molecules. • Develop and validate test methods to assess materials and processes. • Draft study protocols and reports to support regulatory submissions. • Transfer product design to manufacturing and operations through specifications, SOP's and training. • Identify potential product and process improvements. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** • Strong knowledge of bioconjugation techniques and principles. • Ability to show initiative and to perform in a multi-task environment. • Familiarity with various analytical techniques and instrumentation. • Advanced statistical analysis including DOE is a plus. • Ability to maintain complete and accurate records. • Skills in problem solving and critical thinking, including the ability to identify and appropriately evaluate an alternative course of action. • Ability to negotiate by collaborating with others to arrive at a conclusion using compromise, persuasion, rational, and diplomacy. • Ability to make effective decisions and execute an appropriate course of action considering all relevant variables. • Ability to handle sensitive and proprietary information with discretion and confidentiality. • Ability to act independently on routine assignments or projects. • Ability to communicate professionally, both oral and written. • Ability to pay attention to details and perform at a high level of accuracy. • Ability to work independently and with a team. • Ability to work hours that conform to standard business operations {8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) **Education and Experience:** This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's or a Master's degree in Chemistry, Biology, or equivalent with a minimum of 10 years of experience with a Bachelor's or 5 to 8 years with a Master's, or 5 years with a PhD. Must have demonstrated working knowledge of scientific principles, be highly motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively. Must also have strong trouble-shooting skills, attention to detail and excellent organizational skills. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and have good communication skills, both verbal and written. Must transition quickly to new projects when the workflow fluctuates between groups and projects. Must be organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrate initiative & teamwork.
