The successful candidate will join a rapidly growing company with a multidisciplinary high-tech team of Engineers, Biologists, and Scientists to sustain and rapidly impact ProteinSimple platforms.  The Scientist will work in research and development area of Process Engineering team with a focus on validation assays to prove equivalence or superiority of new process modifications and guide iterative process development.  The Scientist will become a local expert in Simple Western immunoassays, growing a deep knowledge of assay setup and data, and its interplay with process parameters, instrumentation, and reagents.  In this role, you will make significant contributions to and collaborate with R&D Science, Engineering and Manufacturing teams to improve processes delivering cutting edge technologies to our global customer base.

If you have experience with analytical instruments, immunoassays, assay development, process development, or capillary electrophoresis – this might be the role for you. If you want to make better analytical products to enable our customers to make better medicines, apply today

Key Responsibilities:

Process development and validation

Execute immunoassays to characterize performance of microfluidic consumables and interpret relative to process changes.  Create reports and present results to drive next steps.

Design and complete verification and validation (V&V) plans to prove equivalence or superiority of selected process changes and facilitate transfer to manufacturing of process updates in accordance with ISO standards

Deeply investigate trends or outliers in assay data to determine root cause from process, instrumentation, reagents, etc.

Develop new test methods to increase understanding of process and product behaviors

Create new or modify existing QC criteria to maximize performance and yield of product

Utilize advanced functions as power user and local expert of Simple Western platforms

Contribute hands-on to process development prototype builds of microfluidic consumables
