This position works out of our Woodbridge MN location in the in the Medical Devices Division. Our medical devices help more than 10,000 people have healthier hearts, improve quality of life for thousands of people living with chronic pain and movement disorders, and liberate more than 500,000 people with diabetes from routine fingersticks.
The Scientist I will work within a team focused on the chemical characterization of medical devices in a highly regulated environment. The position will report to a chemistry supervisor or manager. The position is a hands-on and laboratory focused, entailing all aspects of sample preparation
What You’ll Work On
Sample handling and logisticsSample preparation/extraction (Solid/Liquid; Liquid/Liquid) for downstream extractable/leachable analysisSamples preparation to determine solvent / device material compatibilityOperation of analytical balance, incubator/shaker, ovens, pH meters, and microscopesAnalysis with oversight may include GC/MS, LC/MS, ICP-MS, and FTIRExecution and documentation of work adhering to good documentation practices (GDP), good laboratory practices (GLP), and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)Document, analyze, report, and review data in electronic lab notebook systemAdhere to all lab safety requirementsMinimum Qualifications
BA or BS in chemistryMinimum of 0-2 years of experience performing extractions for chromatographic analysisAbility to perform standard mathematic/statistical calculations in Microsoft ExcelStrong verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detailAbility to communicate effectively with chemistry team and managementKnowledge of GDP, GLP, and GMPAbility to follow direction and be effective with supervisionKnowledge and application of Microsoft suite of applicationsPreferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position is $57,300.00 – $114,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
