This is an on-site position located in West Sacramento, CA.

A day in the Life:Conduct advanced molecular biology experiments.Analyze and interpret complex data sets.Collaborate with a diverse team of scientists to share findings and develop new methodologies.Mentor junior staff and participate in training sessions.

Keys to Success:

Education

BS degree in Biological Sciences from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience.MS degree in a molecular field or equivalent experience preferred.

ExperienceMinimum of 5 years of direct laboratory testing experience.Proven track record in molecular biology techniques required.Hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing, particularly Ion Torrent technology, preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesProficiency with data entry, retrieval, and analysis software.Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Detailed knowledge of good laboratory practices and regulatory compliance.

Physical Requirements / Work EnvironmentHandle infectious agents and hazardous chemicals.Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.Capability to lift up to 40 lbs.Fine hand-eye coordination for equipment operation and specimen handling.Primarily laboratory-based work with some office duties.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $73,000.00–$100,000.00.
