If you're looking to stand out in your field and lead the way to innovative therapies, this position is for you! location: North Chicago, Illinois job type: Contract salary: $40.00 - 44.39 per hour work hours: 9 to 5 education: Bachelors responsibilities: + Independently design and conduct critical experiments that further project goals. + Documentation of experimental activities and results in a GMP compliant fashion using an electronic data acquisition and management systems. + Interpret results and draw conclusions from own multistage experiments, note significant deviations, then suggest, design, and pursue relevant experiments. + Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation. + Understand relevant scientific literature and a theoretical framework to solving problems within scientific discipline in a timely manner + Demonstrate skill in multiple techniques and appropriately modify protocols, as required, to suit the changing needs of research or development sciences. + Place data in proper scientific context by consulting and citing relevant literature. + Demonstrate technical proficiency in his/her field, preferentially in the analytical areas of quantitative and instrumental analysis. + Perform routine and complex tasks competently and independently and generate reliable and consistent results. + Impact projects predominantly through lab and/or pilot plant based activities. + Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding code of conduct, safety, appropriate handling of materials, controlled drug and radioactive compounds, and GxP compliance, where applicable qualifications: + Bachelor's Degree/Master's Degree in Chemistry/Analytical focus or equivalent + Familiarity with spectrophotometric enzymatic plate reader methods. + Large and small molecule chromatography experience. + Hands-on dissolution experience in development and testing. + Prior exposure to natural products analytical development. + Exposure to 2D Gel electrophoresis skills: Analytical Chemistry, Chemistry, GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) Equal Opportunity Employer: Race, Color, Religion, Sex, Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, National Origin, Age, Genetic Information, Disability, Protected Veteran Status, or any other legally protected group status.
