Job Title: Scientist IIJob Description The Quantitative Translational ADME Sciences Department is seeking a Scientist II for a 6-month assignment in Lake County. This on-site position operates on the first shift from Monday to Friday, 8 am - 5 pm, with the possibility of starting earlier depending on job tasks. The level and compensation will be commensurate with experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for non-regulated quantitative LC-MS/MS bioanalysis of small molecules from in vivo and in vitro samples, including extraction, data analysis, and interpretation. Responsibilities + Perform high throughput quantitative in vivo and in vitro LC-MS/MS analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving of small molecule compounds from various bio-matrices. + Operate, perform routine maintenance, and hands-on troubleshooting of AB Sciex LC-MS/MS systems. + Train and mentor junior scientists. + Maintain excellent documentation of all work including LIMS, electronic notebooks, test methods, and protocols. + Work closely with multiple teams across Discovery to support bioanalysis. + Write or contribute to study reports for regulatory submissions. Essential Skills + M.S. with 2 years or B.S. with 6 years of experience in analytical chemistry or a related field. + Proven method development experience using various extraction, chromatographic, and analytical methodologies. + Experience with quantitative bioanalysis of small molecules. + Experience operating and troubleshooting Agilent HPLCs, Leap/CTC PAL autosamplers, and AB Sciex Mass Spectrometers. + Detail-oriented with a commitment to generating high-quality results within tight deadlines. + Ability to work independently or under minimal supervision in a high-throughput environment. + Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Work experience in regulated bioanalysis and/or CRO facility settings is a plus. + Ability to design and conduct experiments, interpret, document, and communicate results. + Proven ability to collaborate successfully across other groups within R&D. Work Environment This role is an on-site position in Lake County, operating Monday to Friday from 8 am - 5 pm, with the possibility of starting earlier depending on job tasks. The environment includes working with advanced technologies such as AB Sciex LC-MS/MS systems and Agilent HPLCs. The role requires maintaining excellent documentation and collaborating with multiple teams to support bioanalysis projects. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr.
