The company is looking for a Scientist II to join the team. This is an amazing opportunity to work on cutting edge treatments and make a difference! **Immunology and Respiratory Disease** **Location:** Ridgefield, CT **Contract:** 2 years **Pay:** 35-38/hr **Qualifications:** + Bachelor’s Degree with 3+ years of experience or a Master’s Degree in Immunology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field. + Hands-on experience in tissue culture, including primary human cell culture (preferred). + Practical experience in basic molecular assays such as RNA isolation, qPCR, and/or ELISA (preferred). + Experience with imaging-based cellular assays (e.g., immunofluorescence, live-cell imaging) is a plus. + Proficient in data analysis using software such as Excel (required) and GraphPad Prism (preferred). + Experience with 2D and 3D cellular cultures is a plus. **Responsibilities:** + Collaborate with lab managers and team members to plan and execute cellular assays using primary human cells. + Execute cellular and molecular functional assays (e.g., ELISA, TaqMan qPCR, colorimetric assays, etc.) and cell-based imaging independently. + Conduct literature searches to gather relevant information from published protocols and apply them in experiments. + Analyze experimental data, interpret results, and propose appropriate follow-up steps. + Maintain detailed and high-quality lab notebooks and contribute to the writing of protocols and scientific reports. + Communicate research findings effectively in oral and written formats. + Participate in cross-departmental project teams as needed, collaborating with other members of the department. + Ensure data integrity and adhere to ethical standards in research. + Comply with applicable regulations and maintain proper records according to SOPs and policies. + Maintain a safe work environment and follow safety protocols. _This job description is a complete list of all desired skills, but not all are required.
