The Gene Editing Institute at ChristianaCare is searching for a Scientist ll, who
will integrate into the translational team and will be expected to utilize molecular biology and cellular techniques to contribute and collaborate with the cross-functional team of cell and molecular biologists. In addition, the Scientist will participate in independent and supportive laboratory work under the guidance of a Principal Investigator. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to designing, optimizing, and executing gene editing projects and molecular/cellular analyses to develop gene therapeutic drugs

Successful candidates will have a background in molecular biology, including hands-on experience with performing routine molecular and biochemical assays, conducting and interpretation of individual research projects. Previous experience working with protein expression/purification, DNA sequencing (Sanger sequencing) and CRISPR/Cas.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors with 5 – 10 years of experience or Master’s degree with 3 – 8 years of experience in biological sciences or related field and work experience in a biotechnology or academic research setting.
