To further strengthen our capabilities, we are seeking a motivated and engaged Scientist III, Cell Biology. What are you going to do?Develop tools and methods for manufacturing cells for clinical applications in the field of cell therapy in closed systems suitable for GMP environments.Develop novel cell therapy manufacturing protocols and application data using brand-new technologies that produce consistent and reliable results.Craft and implement experimental work in the laboratory through the use of Design of Experiments.Analyze data and present results to customers, peers, and collaborators.Support customer meetings and on-site demonstrations by giving presentations and guiding an audience through the use of automated cell therapy manufacturing instruments.Collaborate with and train customer-facing colleagues.Write procedures, protocols, and reports.Lead smaller research projects.Participate in cross-functional project teams.Maintain and take responsibility for instruments (maintenance and contact person)

How do you get there?PhD or Masters with 4+ years experience in Immunology, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology.Preferred experience in process development in the Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical industry or pre-clinical/clinical research hospital laboratories.

Desired technical skills:Immune cell culturing (primary cells and cell lines)Multicolor flow staining and analysis with at least 5 colorsClosed system process development or GMP manufacturingOrganized and skilled at maintaining accurate laboratory records.Attitude centered around the customer, with experience in customer facing roles being an advantage.Strong relationship-building skills.Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.Enjoy working in a high-paced environment with the ability to meet deadlines.Excellent writing, communication, and presentation skills in English.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in New York is $83,300.00–$125,000.00.
