Conduct and supervise conduction of experiments that answer significant scientific questions and advance the planned project; bring in or create technology as needed to overcome obstacles and achieve project goals; prepare data for publication, assist with manuscript preparation, assist with presentation preparations for external meetings, provide training in unique skills to other members of the Department, seek input and advice as needed for obtaining resources and technology and interpretation of data from other members of the College.
Maintain lab notebooks, describe findings and share information in lab meetings, serve as an intellectual resource for others in the lab; carry out a component of lab maintenance, maintain protocol archives. Contribute ideas to streamline lab organization. Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Knowledge and skills associated with research. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? Required License/Registration/Certification None Physical Requirements This position will require lifting up to 25 pounds, animal handling and care, exposure to bloodborne/airborne pathogens, hazardous chemicals or fumes. Shift Days, with occasional Saturdays.
