Job Description:
This position is accountable for effectively applying technical and laboratory methodologies and knowledge to ensure quality testing of flavors used at MW manufacturing sites globally. The position also supports applicable quality and food safety programs to ensure ongoing compliance to FSSC22000 and Mars standards for the Northwestern Flavors site. In addition, this position is responsible for assisting in generating MW flavor specification data, generating qualification data of flavoring ingredients and supporting flavor cost savings initiatives. These tasks are executed in close collaboration with the site QFS Manager, Laboratory Scientists, factory team, MW Business unit functions in R&D, commercial and supplier quality assurance.

BS degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Food Safety, Engineering or related technical field and college coursework with relevant experience in Analytical/Sensory Laboratory environment with proven laboratory methodology capabilities including food/flavor sensory, Gas Chromatography and Gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS)Preferred Qualifications
BS Degree in Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering or related technical field and 2 years relevant experience in Analytical/Sensory Laboratory environment with proven laboratory methodologies capabilities including food/flavor sensory, Gas Chromatography and Gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS) and 2 years relevant experience in Quality and Food Safety systems in a Food/Flavor manufacturing environment.What will be your key responsibilities?Working daily in the flavor laboratory utilizing validated methodologies including Gas Chromatography, laboratory measuring and weighing, titrations, basic laboratory chemistry, laboratory equipment maintenance and sensory of flavors.Utilizing skills related to multi-tasking, being organized, problem solving, investigations, and escalations.
